Privacy notice
Last updated 4 September 2026
This notice explains what we do with the personal information you give us when you register your interest in The Bunkr Club. It's written to be read, not to be survived — if anything here isn't clear, email us and we'll explain it properly.
The short version. We collect your name, email and a few preferences so we can tell you when we open and what membership looks like. We keep it in our own database, use Brevo to send the emails, and never sell or share it with anyone else. You can get a copy, correct it, or have it deleted whenever you like — just ask.
Who we are
The Bunkr Club is operated by The Bunkr Club Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company number 17313373), whose registered office is Unit 16 Faldo Road, Barton-le-Clay, Bedford, MK45 4RP. We are the data controller for the information described here.
For anything to do with your data, contact us at info@bunkrclub.co.uk.
What we collect
| Information | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| First and last name | You, on the registration form |
| Email address | You, on the registration form |
| Mobile number (optional) | You, on the registration form |
| What you're interested in, and how often you'd use it | You, on the registration form |
| Anything you write in the notes box | You, on the registration form |
| Your consent, and a record of it: the date and time, the wording you agreed to, your IP address and browser | Recorded automatically when you tick the box |
| How you found us — a campaign tag in the link you clicked, or the site that referred you | Recorded automatically when you submit the form |
We don't ask for payment details, and we never will on this site.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Email you about The Bunkr Club — membership options, pricing, the opening date, an invitation to opening night | Consent. You tick a box that isn't pre-ticked, and we send a confirmation email you have to click before you're added. |
| Text you about the opening, if you gave us a mobile number | Consent, as above. Leave the field blank and we can't. |
| Keep a record of when and how you consented | Legal obligation. Data protection law requires us to be able to demonstrate consent. |
| Understand what people want from the club, and which posters and ads brought them in | Legitimate interests — planning the business sensibly. We look at this in aggregate, not to make decisions about you individually. |
The confirmation step
When you submit the form we store your details and email you a confirmation link. You are not on the mailing list until you click it. If you never click, the record sits unconfirmed and we delete it within six months.
Who else touches it
We use three suppliers, each acting on our instructions under a contract, and none of whom may use your data for their own purposes:
- Supabase — hosts the database our list lives in. Stored in the United Kingdom (London region).
- Brevo — sends our emails and any texts. Based in France, data hosted in the European Union.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and provides the anti-spam check on the form.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with other businesses for their marketing. Where data reaches a supplier outside the UK, it is protected by the UK's approved international transfer safeguards.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and stores nothing on your device to track you between visits. The anti-spam check on the form (Cloudflare Turnstile) sets a short-lived token purely to confirm you're not a bot — that's a strictly necessary security measure, so it doesn't require a consent banner. That's the lot, which is why you weren't asked to dismiss one.
How long we keep it
- Unconfirmed registrations: deleted after six months.
- Confirmed registrations: kept until we open and for 24 months afterwards, unless you become a member (in which case a separate membership privacy notice will apply) or you ask us to delete it sooner.
- If you unsubscribe: we keep a minimal record of your email address and the fact you opted out, so we don't accidentally email you again.
- Consent records: kept for as long as we hold the registration, plus 12 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete it;
- restrict or stop how we use it;
- hand it over in a portable format;
- stop using it for marketing — always, immediately, no reason needed.
Email info@bunkrclub.co.uk and we'll deal with it within one month. It's free. Every marketing email we send also carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
Complaints
If you think we've handled your information badly, please tell us first — we'd rather fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change how we use your information in a way that matters, we'll update this page and email anyone on the list before it takes effect.
